Air Force Y Group Eligibility Criteria

Basically, there are 3 criteria of eligibility which you need to qualify to join indian air force - Age, Educational Qualification & Medical Standards. 1. Age Limit

Maximum Age – 21 years

2. Educational Qualification

Group Y (Except Automobile Technician, GTI, IAF (P), IAF(S) and Musician) Trades
You must have passed 10+2 examination with any stream/subjects, with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English.

Group Y Medical Assistant Trade

You must have passed 10+2 exam with Physics, Chemistry, Biology & English, with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English.

3. Medical Standards

General Medical Standards for both Group ‘X’ (Except Education Instructor Trade) and Group ‘Y’ (Except Automobile Technician, GTI, IAF (P), IAF(S) and Musician) Trades is according to the Indian Air Force Standards

Air Force Group Y Exam Pattern & Selection Procedure

The Indian Air Force conducts the Airmen Y Selection Process in 3 stages:
